India Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia, cancels his trip to New Delhi for the AI Summit
Nvidia Chief Executive Officer Jensen Huang has cancelled his scheduled visit to India to attend the India AI Impact Summit, a senior government official said on Saturday.
“Nvidia has cancelled his visit due to some unavoidable circumstances, but it is sending their high-level delegation,” the official said, adding that the update was received this evening. No further details were immediately available on the reason for the cancellation.
Nvidia is among the most influential companies in the global artificial intelligence ecosystem, with its high-performance graphics processing units (GPUs) widely used to train and run advanced AI models. The company’s GPU servers power data centres, cloud platforms and research institutions worldwide, making it a key player in AI infrastructure.
The India AI Impact Summit is scheduled to be held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi from February 16 to 20. The summit is expected to bring together policymakers, industry leaders, researchers and startups to discuss India’s artificial intelligence roadmap, innovation ecosystem and global collaborations.
Despite Huang’s absence, Nvidia will be represented at the event by a senior delegation, indicating the company’s continued engagement with India’s growing AI market.
