ETtech Deals Digest: This week's startup funding reached $355 million, up 34% year over year

Indian startups raised around $355.2 million between December 13 and 19, showing a 33.9% year-on-year increase compared to $265.2 million raised during the same period last year, according to data from Tracxn.

Despite the annual growth, weekly funding declined slightly. The amount raised was 5.3% lower than the $375.2 million secured in the previous week. Deal activity also slowed, with 27 funding transactions recorded during the week, compared to 40 deals in the same week last year.

Top startup funding deals of the week:

  • MoEngage: Enterprise SaaS company MoEngage raised an additional $180 million in its ongoing funding round, taking the total round size to $280 million. The investment was led by ChrysCapital and Singapore-based Dragon Fund, which is backed by Japan’s Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group.

  • Digantara: Spacetech startup Digantara secured $50 million from investors including 360 One Asset, Japan-based SBI Holdings, and UpGrad founder Ronnie Screwvala. Existing investors Peak XV Partners and Kalaari Capital also participated in the round.

  • Qucev: Electric commercial vehicle startup Qucev raised around $15 million in a funding round led by Singularity AMC, with participation from Lotus Family Trust and other investors.
