Pronto receives 15,000 reservations every day as its financial burn reaches $8 million

Quick service home platform Pronto has scaled rapidly since launch, with founder Anjali Sardana revealing that the company now handles over 15,000 bookings per day — up from zero just 10 months ago.

In a LinkedIn post, Sardana said the company burned just over $8 million in its first year of operations. “In just the last three months, our home services platform has grown over 300%,” she wrote, adding that the Bengaluru-based team is young, high-energy and working fully in-person.

By early December, Pronto was clocking around 6,000 daily bookings and had onboarded about 1,300 professionals on its platform. The rapid growth comes at a time when competition in the home services segment is intensifying, with players aggressively scaling and raising funds.

Industry data suggests that combined monthly cash burn in the segment rose from about $2–3 million in August to nearly $5–7 million by October. Much of this spending is directed toward acquiring and retaining service professionals, offering customer discounts, and encouraging first-time usage.

Pronto recently shifted its base from Gurugram to Bengaluru and is actively hiring product managers and engineers as it expands its services. In December, the startup was reportedly in advanced talks to raise $25 million from investors including Epiq Capital, along with existing backers Glade Brook Capital, General Catalyst, and Bain Capital.

Meanwhile, rival Snabbit raised $30 million in October in a round led by Bertelsmann India Investments. Founder Aayush Agarwal had earlier said the company plans to expand into services such as cooking, elder care and child care.

Another major player, Urban Company, reported an adjusted EBITDA loss of ₹61 crore in the December quarter, compared with ₹44 crore in the previous quarter, highlighting the rising costs in the competitive home services market.
