InstaHelp, the quick services vertical of Urban Company, surpasses 50,000 bookings every day

Urban Company’s quick-service vertical InstaHelp has crossed 50,000 daily bookings less than a year after its launch, underscoring rising demand in the on-demand household services segment.

In a stock exchange filing on Monday, the company said InstaHelp recorded 51,520 bookings on February 22, 2026 — its highest single-day volume so far. However, Urban Company clarified that the figure represents a peak day rather than a daily average.

“Crossing 50,000+ daily bookings reflects strong consumer demand for reliable, on-demand housekeeping services,” said Abhiraj Singh Bhal, cofounder and chief executive of Urban Company. He added that the company is investing to build a high-frequency category aimed at strengthening long-term growth and deepening platform engagement.

Launched as a pilot in Mumbai in March 2025, InstaHelp offers services such as cleaning, dishwashing, laundry and meal preparation, with a promised fulfilment time of 10–15 minutes. The service is currently available in select micro-markets across Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi NCR, Hyderabad and Pune.

The milestone comes amid intensifying competition in the quick household services segment. Rival platform Pronto, founded by Anjali Sardana, recently said it has scaled to over 15,000 bookings per day within 10 months of launch and burned just over $8 million in the past year. Another competitor, Snabbit, raised $30 million in October 2025 in a funding round led by Bertelsmann India Investments.

For the December quarter of FY26, Urban Company reported a 33% year-on-year increase in operating revenue to Rs 383 crore, driven by new-user growth, improved revenue retention and festive season demand in core categories. The company posted a net loss of Rs 21 crore during the quarter, compared with a profit of Rs 231 crore in the same period last year, which had benefited from a one-time tax gain.

InstaHelp’s adjusted Ebitda loss widened to Rs 61 crore in the December quarter, up from Rs 44 crore in the preceding quarter, reflecting continued investments in scaling the business.

Investor interest in the segment remains robust. In December 2025, reports indicated that Pronto was in advanced discussions to raise $25 million from investors including Epiq Capital, along with existing backers Glade Brook Capital, General Catalyst and Bain Capital.
