InstaHelp, the quick services vertical of Urban Company, receives more than 50,000 reservations every day

Urban Company said its quick-service vertical InstaHelp has crossed 50,000 daily bookings less than a year after launch, as the listed home services platform pushes deeper into high-frequency use cases.

In a stock exchange filing on Monday, the company said InstaHelp recorded around 51,520 bookings on February 22, 2026 — its highest single-day volume to date.

“Crossing 50,000+ daily bookings reflects strong consumer demand for reliable, on-demand housekeeping services,” said Abhiraj Singh Bhal, cofounder and chief executive of Urban Company. “We are investing to build a large, high-frequency category that deepens platform engagement and strengthens long-term growth.”

Launched as a pilot in Mumbai in March 2025, InstaHelp provides on-demand housekeeping services including cleaning, dishwashing, laundry and meal preparation, with a promised fulfilment time of 10–15 minutes. The service is currently available across select micro-markets in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi NCR, Hyderabad and Pune.

However, the company clarified that the 50,000-plus figure represents a peak day rather than a sustained daily average. It added that continued growth will hinge on customer retention, service quality and the availability of trained professionals.

Rising Competition

The update comes amid intensifying competition in the quick household services segment. Last week, Anjali Sardana, founder of rival Pronto, said the platform has scaled to more than 15,000 bookings per day within 10 months of launch, adding that Pronto burned just over $8 million in the past year.

Investor interest in the space remains robust. In December 2025, Pronto was reported to be in advanced talks to raise $25 million from investors including Epiq Capital, alongside existing backers Glade Brook Capital, General Catalyst and Bain Capital. Another competitor, Snabbit, raised $30 million in October 2025 in a funding round led by Bertelsmann India Investments.

Financial Performance

For the December quarter of FY26, Urban Company reported a 33% year-on-year increase in operating revenue to Rs 383 crore, supported by new-user growth, steady revenue retention and festive season demand across core categories.

The company posted a net loss of Rs 21 crore for the quarter, compared with a profit of Rs 231 crore in the same period last year, which had been boosted by a one-time tax gain. InstaHelp’s adjusted Ebitda loss widened to Rs 61 crore during the quarter from Rs 44 crore in the preceding quarter, reflecting continued investment in scaling the vertical.

With quick-turnaround household services emerging as a competitive battleground, Urban Company’s latest milestone underscores both the demand potential and the capital intensity of building high-frequency service platforms.
